DIY: Autumn Door Decor…

A few weeks ago, I was preparing for my front door Autumn wreath when I discovered my wreath had gone missing.

At that point I started my quest for something simple and frugal to decorate my front door. IMG_20141017_115944

While shopping at Kroger one day I found they had Indian Corn. My mind started working on how I could use it. I was originally going to attach it to a metal hanger in a design but after laying it out several ways, I could not get satisfied with the way it looked.

I started rummaging through my craft supplies and found some old scrap fabric in a nice shade of orange. I proceeded to think how I could make this thing simple.

So I just tied the Indian Corn together and tied the “bow” around it. I did have to take a piece of brown yard to hold the corn together so it didn’t flare out, I want my corn to lay flat against each other. So this is the result. I think the colors compliment my green door.
