Thoughts on Scripture: Isaiah 5:20-21

I wanted to start including a scripture on occasion to encourage others or something that might relate to things in my life that might encourage someone else.  So this will be my first post of this type. I may include insights, my interpretation, or any other thoughts.

I will touch on many different subjects as I tend to study many things at different times. I will try to mix it up a bit by not posting all scripture about one subject, but try to do a different subject each time. You may here about a woman’s role in marriage, God angels, prophecy, healing, or maybe even an historical fact the scripture talks about.

I will start with this one.

“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
who substitue darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitue bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
Isaiah 5:20-21

I think this verse is talking to our world today. So many people think sin and immoral acts are good, and they ignore that our world is coming under judgement. Soon, God is going to show us what he thinks of the things we have let slide, and it won’t be pretty.
