Holy Pudding and Cream Cheese (aka Holy Smoke)

This is a recipe my mom makes for almost every party or holiday. Eveyone loves it (except me, it has nuts). She calls it Holy Smoke, which I don’t get the name, but it was passed on to her with that name.

Here is the recipe and I don’t have a picture of it because I have never made it. I thought I would share since everyone loves it.  Thanks Momma for sharing!!!

Hint: you can bake crust ahead of time, let it cool.

1st layer:

1/2 c. melted butter

1c. flour

1/2 c. chopped nuts

2 TBSP sugar

Mix together and press down on bottom of 9X13 baking dish.

Bake 350* 15 to 20 minutes.

2nd layer:

1 8oz. Philly cream cheese softened

1c. confect. sugar

mix together

then add 1/2 of a 13 1/2 oz. cool whip

Mix and spread over the baked cooled crust.

3rd. layer:

1 small pkg. of instant vanilla pudding

1 small pkg. instant chocolate pudding

use 3 c. of cold milk, use 1 1/2 c. for each pudding mix. Layer pudding . (Use any flavor you like)

4th layer:

Spread the other half of cool whip on top of pudding. Sprinkle with chopped nuts as desired or red sugar, what ever you like.

Refrigerate

Serve cold. Enjoy
