So when we started out to remodel this camper, it was for our liking. So no, we did not try and keep some things original. I didn’t want original. What I wanted was updated bright and clean feeling. The medium darker woods on the cabinets were kinda gross to me, the flooring that someone had put down before us was ugly. It had a past water leak, and for the age that is common. Everything is fixed and ready to be finished. We are working on finishing it. All the appliances work and it has a 4 burner stove. The AC will run you out of there. Even the nasty old microwave works, though I wouldn’t use it. I actually took it out and don’t want to put it back in, unless we sell it. I don’t even have a cancer-wave I mean microwave in my house.
So its not finished and as we finish it I will add more photos. I have more now I just can’t find them.
One think I did different is how I decided to lay the floor. I see EVERYONE doing new flooring running front to back. And for me that just makes a long camper look even longer. I really don’t like that look. I wanted my flooring to run side to side, to make the camper feel wider, not longer. So we only have part of the floor down so far. The original sofa had been ripped and so we decided to recover it with marine grade vinyl in blue and grey, grey to match the flooring (and pulls/knobs) which is a grey weathered wood look. My theme was beachy, surprise right lol. More like Hippie Beachy. And I call it the Shaggin Wagon.
So this is being redone in a fun, creative, way that is my style, probably not yours. But it works for me.
